Amber’s Fruit and Nut

This combination of fruit, yogurt and nuts can be used as either a breakfast or just a snack.  It doesn’t look like much, but it’s very filling and all the nuts and seeds will keep you full for hours!  I used this as a breakfast idea when I was trying to lose a little bit of weight as it’s low in calories for the amount of satisfaction you get.

Serves 1

What you’ll need:

  • 8 strawberries, topped
  • 2 tbsp Greek yogurt
  • 15 g chia seeds
  • 10 hazelnuts
  • 1 tsp honey

Method:

  1. Mix the honey and Greek yogurt together until well combined
  2. Put the strawberries in a bowl and top with the yogurt and honey mixture
  3. Sprinkle the chia seeds and hazelnuts on top

Substitutes:

  • You can use whatever fruit and/or berries you like for this as there’s hardly anything that won’t go
  • If you like something a little crunchier, why not swap the honey for a tablespoon of granola
  • If you’re taking this to eat out of the house, put the yogurt and honey in a separate container to stop the dish going watery
